Again, chickmate I respectfully disagree. And I think you took my sentence wrong. I meant that I have seen dogs be highly trained AND still be highly aggressive. While I am not trying to detract from the issue at hand and debate with you, I just flat out feel that if dogs come onto my property and kill my chickens, I am legally allowed and will destroy the dogs. Yes, the OP COULD POSSIBLY change the behavior of the dog. I kind of doubt it at this point, but it COULD happen. But no offense to the OP, every single suggestion people have thrown out has been met with "I've done that already". If NOTHING that experienced people have suggested is working and this guy has tried it all, in my opinion his only recourse is to keep the dogs either chained or in a kennel or on leash at all times but even this is met with resistance. Unless he is willing to keep the dogs under containment while he is trying to "re-train" his dogs, he will not be able to keep chickens alive. It's a sad fact that while you think that all dogs are trainable and only bad owners make bad dogs, some dogs simply will never be safe around chickens. And if you believe you can train any dog to not kill chickens you should advertise as there are simply thousands of posts on the internet of people needing help because their dogs kill their chickens.
