So yesterday after I got home, it was still light enough for me to do some of my chores outside. After collecting everyone's eggs, I did a deep cleaning. I took out the old bedding to where the coop was bare. I put in completely new, fresh bedding so there's no way the egg was from yesterday.
I just went out and found 3 duck eggs..
Our ducks' ages: One 2 year old drake, One 2 year old duck, and One 1 year old duck.
Both females are laying this year and I've already been collecting their eggs. Sold some for eating to a few customers, gave away some for free to be hatched out to find out hatch rate(100% by the way).

I'm assuming it was our younger female as the egg was the same size as hers. Our older duck lays smaller eggs so I don't think it was her.

Is it possible for females to lay a second egg the same day??

Just in case nobody believes that we only have 2 females, 1 male. Here's proof:

Yes, it's possible. Probably won't last very long though.
Once her hormones are back to normal she'll be back to laying just one a day.
But enjoy it while it lasts!
I'm actually bummed that she laid a second one today. I don't like it when our birds do something like that. It just makes me think something is wrong with them.
Thanks for confirming it was possible!

Don't worry about it, she's perfectly fine.

I get the same way with my pets. Anything unusual happens and I worry about them like crazy! But most if the time it's nothing thankfully

Same with my cat Nyx. You won't believe how many times I've called our vet just to find out it was just simply a hairball or something completely treatable at home  🤷‍♀️
