Would you be able to call the woman that you bought the chicks from? It sounds like they have some type of illness since your friends chicks are also acting odd too.
Actually yes i did contact her because we had gotten 12 and out of the 12 4 of them have now passed away due to different illnesses .. i had words with her because she said that she was having a bad year with them , but is still breeding and selling them ..so in other words she doesnt like me too well lol i called the provincial vet, and they told me that if she is eating and drinking it is good. but i just figured someone on here could give me some advice ... or at least have came across this type of behavior before .. so i know what to do to try and help her...

It could be that the sky is falling and that they figured it out. Word is out on the street about this already.

Or Chicken austism?

That’s horrible! She shouldn’t be selling sick chickens, hopefully if you guys have other chickens they don’t make your other chickens sick. It’s really hard to tell what is wrong, because there can be so many things with chickens, hopefully you guys can get an answer.

Hey there, I am new to the poultry community, I have a 3 month old chicken who for the last past 2 days has been standing still almost like she is playing possum . She can walk, lay down, stand . but she doesnt really move much continues to stand still for most of the day. She ate some for me , but her behavior is very strange . I have removed her from her flock for the time being so she doesnt get picked on if she is ill. As well one of my friends have a few chicks from the same bunch and two of her chicks are doing the same thing. IF someone could give me some advice, or what could be causing this it would be greatly appreciated .. thanks in advance
I'm fairly new as well but I have had two different outcomes with the same standing still like their sleeping but will also walk, lay down, stand but doesn't really move much continues to stand still for most of the day.
My outcome for the first 3 of them was Marek's but that had the addition off watery poo with small bits of green in it.
they succumbed to the disease within a week of symptoms.
My last girl was, Thank God, just egg bound and had all the same but still had good poo. within 3 days she had passed her 2 weird eggs and is back to normal laying daily.
The combs will also let you know they aren't feeling well.
