I see what you're saying about size also, my "Bucky" is huge in comparison to my Wyandottes, Easter Egger, Australorps, Rhode Island Red

I have a dark Brahma pullet acquired from a small, local hatchery and she's my biggest chicken. Bigger than the Marans hen I got as a cull from a breeder and that I thought was huge. I can't imagine how big the males from her line must be!

Right now Bucky is at least twice the size of the other hens. If he ends up being a rooster, my poor hens may not be too happy!

He is a cockerel, and may be a bit big for those girls. but he should be really gentile and attentive.

He's already a sweetheart who likes to rest against you, sit on your lap,

and be wrapped up in a hug! And the girls all congregate around him when he sunbathes, like they're his harem! I get a kick how he's always running around to keep them in line or check in on them.
