3 month old pullet (roo?) Attacking my 2 4-5 yr old hens

So it IS a rooster.... I've been told yes and no lol. I really don't want a rooster, but I guess I've got one now. Will he continue to attack the older girls?
I realize he will continue to try to mate lol, but is it possible he is too dangerous to have near then?

Would it be cruel to just let him live outside the coop/run. Free range per say. ( God help my cat and granddaughter's ankle biter dog lol)I could supply him a shelter of his own for sleeping and food/water, but he wouldn't be in a secured environment and we have owls in the area and other possible predators. I don't mean to sound ignorant. I've only raised healthy happy girls in a secured environment and I don't want to mess this poor guy up because I don't want a male or know what's okay for him.

I've got a long spiel I usually go through about whether to keep a rooster or not but you've already answered the question.

I really don't want a rooster

Get rid of him now. Sometimes the answers are that simple.
I understand and agree. People in the area are desperately trying to give away roosters. Rehoming him probably won't be possible. I don't want to cull him because of my own inadequacy and his luck to be born male and our local tractor supply's just tossing breeds and genders together all mixed matched. Accidents happen, but I should of known of the risks after running back into the store for a forgotten item, to witness the employee dumping the straight runs into the pullet tub. Lol
Thanks for your input. It's going to be a long day of tough decisions. The inevitable pros and cons of having critters lol

I'll be an echo, and say if you don't want a rooster then get rid of him. Sometimes these attacks on hens escalate to serious injury even death. What he is doing is normal to him - protecting his flock. Separating him from the flock for an extended period of time and then reintroducing him MIGHT work - but is really unlikely. Good luck.

Not necessarily TS's fault......most hatcheries only give a 90% guarantee on sexed chicks.

I agree. And it's always risk from anywhere. I was disappointed with the employee in that section. She was complaining the entire time and furious that more " smelly ass ducks"were arriving lol. Maybe just a bad day for her. L9l

No Doubt. I know I wouldn't want that job.
