3 months old chicks/hens are crowing...can they really be roos? (see pics)

Thanks - that is good to know about the BCM. I wanted to try the Copper Marans since I love my Cuckoo Marans and now I will stay with the Cuckoos from now on (never a roo in that group!). You're lucky you have homes for 4 of them, I'm now frantically trying to re-home them as well as get 3 more 12 wk olds to replace them. In the same group I got 2 babies that were supposed to be Black Australorps but nope, they are Barred Rocks. Super sweet so that's not too bad...but out of the 6 I bought only 1 is correct (1 Amerecauna).

The FBCM have foot feathers, and the Ameraucana is more likely to be an EE,,,,

Olive eggs would be nice but....I just don't want the roos. Going to try my local Humane Society, is there anywhere on Backyard Chickens (like Craigslist) where I can post them for anyone in my area (Southern California) who might be interested in taking them?

You can also post signs at the feed stores, with pictures, and if there's a local auction, that's another choice.
Most cockerels will land in the freezer; that's how it is. I've placed nice cockerels in other's flocks through all the above sources, and also realized that some will be eaten, sometimes by our family.
Your boys are very handsome!
One year I got four(!!) cockerels out of five EE chicks from the pullet bin at a local feed store. That was the worst ever! Chicks at our local feed stores tend to be unreliably sexed, compared to shipped hatchery chicks, in my experience.
Could you keep one of them? BC Marans tend to be very nice. Pick the timid one, not the 'friendliest'.
Mary
