3 of my newly hatched chicks have eyes closed

my silkies hatched yesterday and today. I moved them to a brooder and I notice that three of them have one eye shut. one opens the eye a little, the other two are closed completely. Anyone know what this could be? They don't appear swollen, just closed. should I try warm water on the eyelid, or leave them alone?

nevermind, I tried a damp paper towel and wiped them and all of them were able to open their eyes after that! phew!

Oh thank Goodness, it is scary when they are just hatched and something is wrong and you dont know what to do!!

I also had an adult chick do this. What are the reasons for this? What do I need to do it it happens again?
