Doing lots of research and I'm not sure what path my 3 barred rocks are taking. One is kind of "patchy" in color, another some defined colors, and the 3rd is in between. At around 3 weeks is it too early to tell? First 2 images with camera flash. 3rd, 4th, 5th with natural lighting. I'm guessing pullet, cockerel, and unknown to me at this point?

You should be able to tell in a few weeks. Roosters will get pink combs by 5-6 weeks. Feathers are still coming in so you can't always judge by that yet.

It's still to early to tell, but you might be able to tell them apart at six weeks. My cocks started to grow combs at six weeks, and my pullets didn't grow their combs almost until they started laying.

I agree that it is still a little early to really be sure, but two look like pullets to me, and one I'm on the fence about. A couple more weeks should make it easier for everybody to tell :)

I thought it might be a little early to say for sure. I've always tried to do just pullets and this go round my entire batch is straight run! I can't wait to be able to say he or she!
