There are four chicks, each one is a different chickenHow many total chicks? If less than four, then which photos show the same chicks?
Thankyou! They change all the the time still so I guess I'll have to wait! They are four of the eight I hatched and became curious when I saw the other four earlier this week and some of their wings were very white compared to any of mine.I'll guess that the first is a cockerel (based on how much white in the feathers), the third is a cockerel (based on comb size), and the other two are pullets.
But that's a guess, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong
It should be much easier to tell once they're a few weeks older. Of course, with only four chicks, there's a chance they're all the same gender--which would make it MUCH harder to tell! (Because having at least one of each gender makes it easier to compare and see the differences.)
Any thoughts on my 3 week old barred?
Oh okay, figured someone could “quote” my reply as you did, directly answering me so I would know they were writing on behalf of my post.It works better if you start a new thread for your question--avoids confusion. (Some people just post a one-word opinion: "cockerel" or "pullet," and then you're left wondering which picture of whose chick they mean!)
