3 week old chick

Aww yay im glad my recent obsession on this website has been helpful to you aha :). I assume because you've researched it you're aware of some of the negative/cons people have mentioned. Hopefully it solves your problem though.

I completely understand. We have a roo and pullet that hatched together and they are almost always together.

Are you allowed to keep your roo? I did see the negative comments, and cons. I don't mind the lack of beautiful roo plumage. More important to me to keep them together. thanks again!

Like i said before im not much help as im a newbie, but your black one is feathering slower. I don't see any growing or pink combs which is good. Lovely feathers on the brown one.

Feathering slower means roo, but I think you are good, I mean they aren't showing any other signs!

How old are they now? Mine is just over four weeks, he/she has a small pinky peach comb and still isn't fully feathered. However, I think it was more feathered than yours at 3 weeks. Different breeds feather at different times/rates. but i meant to say before they look like pullets to me atm.

Still hoping mine is a pullet, as the comb isn't actually red yet and is still small. Fingers crossed :)

Think our rir roo is responsible for the dark brown feathers on our little one. Have discovered the same kind of patch under both wings.

Taken today. 4 weeks, 2 days old.
