3 week old chicks.....spring grass

Can you feed baby chicks grass clippings or just continue with feed

Feed as their main food source. Make sure that they get grit before they eat any grass. How old are the chicks?

They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow morning

Chicks can and will eat grass. Just give them some grit, too. Also, be sure to have something on hand to treat coccidia. My chicks always get a chunk of sod in the brooder at about one week old, to expose them to all the micro-organisms in the environment they will eventually be living in.

They can have treats as long as they have grit. I am giving my 1-3 week old chicks treats now. They don't know what treats are yet. They just look at it and wonder what it is.
