I have seen this on youtube, and I'm afraid the news is grim.

This disease, I forgot what it is called, is a nervous disease common in only crested birds, especially silkies. They will hold their head in crooked ways and walk backwards as if something on their head is bugging them.

Unfortuanatly, since it is a nervous disease, it cannot be cured, and the result is death. I'm sorry :[ Love your little silkie as much as you can now...

when my silkie chick had this I was told it was wry neck and to get either vitamin e or a baby vitamin the name which I can't remember. Couldn't get it in them and they died within 24hrs.

Thanks for your input. I did post this in the emergencies category but got no response so I thought I'd post here too.

Tried to give it some Vitamin E and B with water and ground chick starter with a medicine dropper. Not sure how much she actually got, it's not an easy thing to do.

Now we'll wait and see. She perked up a little bit after the first attempt and we'll try again later. She's sleeping peacefully right now. Some silkie breeders have indicated that it's possible she has crookneck.
