I have 14 Cornish X hens that are 6 weeks old, and I have an appointment with the butcher in 3 weeks. I am wondering if I need to do anything to the chickens diet wise, prior to going in? Can I just keep them on the meat chicken feed they have been on or do I need to add something like corn or anything?
This is my first time with chickens, they have feed 24 hrs a day, get out to free range for a couple hours each day if we are home, if not, they have a small pen outside the coop to lay about in.
I have read that I need to take the feed away the night prior to them heading in but not sure on diet change...
