Just got some babies from hatchery. All thriving but one has an itching issue. Always scratching biting herself etc. places where no feathers at all and stands a bit puffed out. I used magnifier and saw no bugs and no signs of eggs on her and no one else suffering. She eats and drinks etc comes for treats. Two scabby places. Not bad thinking from scratching. What can I use to soothe and any idea what it is? Came right from hatchery to a brooder box in garage. I clean thoroughly after each use...now in nursery outside with heat plates which also was vacuumed, washed out dried, all things that go inside were washed and dried in sun before they moved in. You might try rubbing a dab of Calendula cream onto the scaly spots.
What bedding are you using in the brooder?
