3 wk old chicks-

Hi, I'm a first time chick mom. I just took my 3week old chicks outside (in an enclosed pen) and they loved it!!! We are in Pa. and the temp is high 80's-90's during the day. What is best for the girls; outside pen w/ shade OR inside the house in the A/C with their heat lamp. I don't want to take them out too soon. But if the temp works... thanks for the help!

If you have a secure area outside with access to shade (part sun/shade), I think you're fine!

Outside!!! As long as they are secured and have some shade to get out of the sun. Becareful of sudden temperature changes (i.e. don't bring them back and forth from the hot outside to the A/C.
