! I was also scared of birds when I got my chickens just over a year ago - still not great with handeling my roos but other than that fine - I think I'm less scared of other birds now than I was too - not been anywhere recently with massives of swooping pidgeons or seagulls though (urrghh
) so not really put it to the test!
We're so happy you've decided to join us Yes, it is very hard!! When my boy Kiwi passed it did not hit me as hard because Cherry needed a lot of care. When Cherry passed, I felt empty. But we had gone through so much with Cherry we decided on a break from dogs. I still think of my 2 chickens that we had to let go (Pepper had egg yolk peritonitis and Pinto was having seizures where she would just bang her head on the ground nonstop. Very painful to watch)Aww..I sympathize with you. We had to put down 2 old friends/ dogs, last year. They really become part of the family. Yes, these Chickens can pull at our heart strings too..for sure
Yes I try but boy living with your mom sometimes.... well it's interesting. We fight at least once or twice a week. Sucks when we are both stubborn people.I took care of my step dad before he passed then Ma
decided to go also that was really tough part cherish while you can
