My 3 yr old hen is acting very strange, standing in one spot for hour at a time, sitting in nesting box backwards and she feels cool to touch, any ideas would be helpful.

You might want to check inside her vent 1-2 inches with a rubber glove in case she is egg bound. Could she be broody? Check her for lice and mites near her vent. Check her crop for impaction or sour crop. Look at her droppings and watch to see if she is eating/drinking.

X2. Also check her general body condition, see if she feels like she's lost weight or if she feels bloated or swollen in her lower abdomen, from between the legs on back. How is her comb color, bright or pale? Is she on a deworming program?

I have checked for mites, checked her vent, checked for eggbound. Nothing that I can see or feel., her comb is pale, otherwise she looks and feels healthy. She is eating and drinking.

A pale comb can be a sign of anemia which can be caused by internal/external parasites. Anemia in turn causes the bird to feel tired and act lethargic. There are a lot of things that could possibly be going on with your hen but if she were my bird the first place I'd start in trying to figure her out would be deworm her, all of them actually, with something effective like Valbazen or Safeguard. Do a repeat dose in 10 days. You can also put some vitamins in the water to give her a boost. Chickens can be very hard to diagnose so you have to start with the most common and easily solved problems, that is where I'd start and see if there is any improvement.
