We have 2 polish that we bought from a feedstore the 3rd week of may.In the same coop we have a golden comet and a bard rock that are 7/8 weeks younger who have been laying steady for 2.5 weeks. For the last couple of weeks I have been measuring up the frying pans cause they have been dragging thier feet so much. When I went out to feed this am, I checked the egg box and low and behold there were 3 eggs and one of them was white hooraay. They have finally made the first rent payment.

Congrats and glad they avided being dinner for failing to make their keep.

Yes they are lucky, we only have so much room here and none of it is for freelaoders. I am glad they are going to start laying cause We like the way they look and act.

Finally paying the rent LOL that made me crack up!!!!!
I have a 26 Week old polish and no eggs yet, still waiting for her rent payment lol!

My girl is 30 weeks old and not one egg. She doesn't even go anywhere near the nest. But she is a cutie and a keeper even though her headress is half bald.

I have a couple of lavender orpingtons that are 28 weeks old. If they don't star laying in the next couple of weeks I swear I'm eating them.

So happy for u. I have 2 that are 28 1/2 wks and have been getting friendlier but not squatting yet. Maybe by New Years
