How much do you think that one can go for?

I have spoken to an Onagadori (what I have) expert and he said a bird of such gene should be in the thousands.

Sounds right?

Onagadori are gorgeous, in a few years when I have my own place and a nice set up for breeding I will definitely have to devote some time to that breed.

Yeah, they are a REAL beauty. A great looking home and a huge aviary will make people's jaw drop seeing a chicken with an average of 5-6ft. tails. Thats how I got attracted to them in the first place. : )

Mines barely growing out again. The tail feathers were already picked out when I got them in Feb. and I pulled out the rest (as recommended by the breeder) @ 6 months of age. Its almost 2 months since then and the tail grew to about 1 and 1/2 foot long now. Pretty good growth. Usually...slower growth is better if its multiple and strong rather than fast but only a few.

Anyhow, the grandfather of my roo got a 12+ foot tail, so yeah

Hope mine has that gene in him too : )
