Ok I am nuts!
Craigslist post came across for entire flock of thirty one 9m-1.5 yr old hens.
Owner has to disperse as they have to move to OH in 30 days!

I was first to respond and brought home:
Speckled Sussex (major beautiful !!!)
Black Australorps
Buff Brahma (1 VERY large hen!)
Light Brahma
White Rock
Buff Rock
Partridge Rock (also stunning!)
RIR
Red Sexlink
Americana

6 were in a really nasty molt so they went to auction. 8 went to neighbor's son as I had promised him good quality hens to replace the 11 useless ones he sent to auction last week I even let him pick. (=

But with over 40 I still have too many-4 sold on craigslist for pick up today. The 1 Americana may go to an Easter Egger lover this week.

Did I menation I have 24 eggs on order for Icelandics and 14 Cochin chicks coming first week of March?

Not crazy or nuts. You just want what is best for the chickens. I would be willing to bet that you found real good homes for the ones that have already went as opposed to what someone else who would have picked up the birds might have provided.
