31 weeks old and still no egg

I am sure you will get a egg soon. I am on the same boat as you. Three true Black Ameraucanas 33 weeks old and still no eggs.

She has got to be really close. My 9 month old barnevelder hasn't started laying yet, but I did get a first egg this morning from my Ameraucana - it was a really pretty green, but it's supposed to be blue.

glad you got a pretty green egg from her even if it was suppose to be blue. I have no idea what color my EE should/could/will lay. I got her from the feed store. Back when we started getting chicks we didn't know as much as we do now and just bought them from the feed store. Both batches of chicks have been a surprise to me from my hubby. I think next time I will try and find some from a breeder.

Natstk, I am just down the road from you in Ridgefield and we are also still waiting for our girls to lay. They are 29, 28 and 24 weeks old. So far the 24 wk old d'Uccles look the closest to starting. We have had so little light with these short days and terrible rainy weather. :-(

Well Howdy neighbor, Did you guys get the snow rain mix today?

Last year I kept a light on in the coop but I was a first year chicken owner and didn't know any better. I a red heat light going.

24/7 Not this year. I don't think it would be so bad if we didnt have such cloud cover ALWAYS.

By the looks of your EE, it really should be any day here.

I have 2 EE that are 30 weeks and 1 that is 1 yr+.... I just started getting 1 blue egg every other day last week - I'm not sure if it's my older girl who if finished with her moulting or if it's the young ones but I'm fairly certain that it's only 1 of them. If it's Beyonce' (my older one) then my 30 weekers haven't started yet either. So I guess it's natural.

34 weeks today and still no egg. One of these days I will be posting a pic of her egg, I just hope is sooner rather then later. Maybe she is waiting for Christmas!!
