No. I have 12 inch field line. Here is a picture of it. I paid a septic company to install it for me because my ground has no much clay in it, the soil doesn’t want to drain properly.

Around here, that's a drain pipe for under a culvert. ;) Actually, we use larger, but yes, familiar with the product.

12" weeping drain, set in pea gravel, covered with a soil barrier then buried, set upon clay soils in a singular box run design. That must be nightmarish to install. I can't imagine it performs well, either.

I'm in FL, regulations have (finally) tightened up some - but for much of the State, like much of southern MS, the water table is so high that old septic has become a huge problem for water quality.

I leave in rural south Mississippi so the law and regulations are minimal. So you could call it a cultural or regional thing.
So you didn't have perk tests and inspection?

I would definitely not put the chicken run over that setup as there's a good chance it will flood from under.
