well that makes me feel better that they are late sometimes. I don't know i just fill the rings in the bottom of my still air bator. and it's been lower and higher at times

You should get something to read the humidity, it doesn't have to be something special. Mine was $10 from the hardware store. If your humidity is too high the chicks can drown in the shell.

I wouldn't lower it yet, since you don't know what the humidity really is. Too low humidity is what causes shrinkwrapping. If you candle them, look at the airsac. If the chick has pushed its beak into the airsac to breath you'll be able to see it moving.

And i candled this morning and it looked fine and the air sac was dipping deeper
