3rd Annual New Year's Day Hatch!!

Well, I have at least 20 Icelandic eggs coming from Boston and at present over two dozen from Nancy, unless someone outbids me.

The EE's I'll just sell or put in a "Layer" pen...I'd probably sell the marans and keep a couple hens for eggs but, as Laree would warn me, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch".

If the 6 don't hatch that she has in the bator now, I'll have to go buy a couple chicks at Pratts or WR if they have new ones next week to put under my broody who will be over 3 weeks by then.

I just told DW that I'll be getting out the bators again. YIKES

But she's so cold she's almost happy that I'll have to turn the heat up in the house to keep the bators at temp.

And the hatch is on folks!

Dude... I guess you haven't hatched with us before... yeah, this is the 3rd Annual

Maybe next year.

Or ... USE ANOTHER BATOR WITH SOME OF YOUR OWN EGGS AND HATCH WITH US!

I just moved my little silkie mix into the brooder cause she went broody again... I'm hoping she will settle in to the new space so I can put some eggs under her for the new years day hatch.

Are you sure they can't be shipped a little earlier? Check with the shipper...

If they're a BYCer, tell 'em it's for Mahonri's hatch-a-long.

Maybe I'll get lucky and have a few early babies, it's happened before.
