3rd Annual New Year's Day Hatch!!

Is there anyone on here who would sell me some Araucana eggs? I see some on ebay, but the one said her eggs aren't always blue and probably would have tails. Wondering if they are really Araucanas.

The whole reason I want Araucans is for the blue eggs and hopefully rumpless.

I realize they are one of the more difficult to mail, but I can't seem to find anyone close who have them.

Thank you for the reply, and glad to hear the fertility of your eggs is looking good. I'd like to see pictures when they hatch. I wonder if the color kind of changes after they've been laying awhile. I will have to see if I can contact them. I'd like to join the NYD hatch, but maybe I'd be better to wait until the Easter hatch.

She was a fun surprise, and has added much to life. So nice to open up the chicken coop every morning and get a big honkin' welcome! Her (I hope he is a she...) name is Gerrymander, just cuz it is a cool name and it balances the cat, who is named Filibuster. But I have no plans on going into the production side of geese... they live so long, and there isn't a market for them here.

If someone could help me this year I want to do another Chinese New Year hatch. I don't remember how to do spread sheet or anything that you guys come up with, so if a couple of people want to help me run it I'd like to do it right this time. Did it last year because it fell on my birthday and I'll have one for the 3rd and 4th for myself because the 4th was my husband's birthday.

Anyway if someone with a better working brain wants to pm me I'd like to do this one again. Just don't want it to be a flop.

She's usually prompt, so she might be busy like you said. I cooked my eggs from her, first timer in a bad incubator.

She did last night and I'm getting eggs from her and I am so eggcited!!!!

So I'm going to be in the New Year's Day Hatch!

I've used the bator a couple of times and my biggest problem was too much humidity, so I'm really going to watch it on this hatch. I also have several broody hens, but don't know if I want to chance them changing their minds half way through.

MAHONRI- I candled your eggies---sorry to say most of them went in the trash. 6 eggies remain-mostly marked buff and red. The rest were super-scrambled, or had majorly detached air sacks. Only one blood ring.
