I just found my third it was only half formed due to low calcium. The eggs came sooner then we thought so we are playing catch up. But I decided to look in it anyway and it had 3 yokes should I be concerned that they seem to be so big so soon? Are there any helpful hints to help them with calcium? We are feeding them some old egg shells, and will get them layer mash after the finisher is gone

You should get the layer feed now, and mix together with the finisher to get them used to the new food as well as getting them the proper nutrition and calcium they need.

Also put out free choice oyster shell in a separate dish immediately. Your pullets need calcium now. How many pullets do you have and how old are they?

Its takes a some time for the egg-making machine to work properly, so be patient.

Congrats on your first eggs.
