3rd eye lid shedding

Here's a weird incident. I have a client with a flock of poultry birds, one of them is a Heritage Turkey, she's about 6 or 7 y/o. I saw what looked a transparent capsule hanging off her left eye Friday and reported it. Apparently this is not the first time this bird has shed an eye lid but I can't find anything about it. I've done searches here and on Google. Does anyone here know anything about nicitating eyelids shedding? Is it serious? Does she need to see the vet? Is there a name for this condition? Thanks

No sorry, didn't have my camera that day and it had fallen off by the next time I saw her. Really regret not getting a picture.
