4.5 week olds wont shut up.

Does chick churping always indicate a problem, or is it just excessively loud chirping? One of mine only stops when I take her out of the brood, which I assume would cause her more discomfort and alarm than being inside the brood.
 
Well, they're chicks. They chirp, that's just what they do. Not really much you can do about it.

As long as you've provided appropriate feed/water/heating conditions then I don't see what else there is to do.
 
I was thinking, if they heard us all the time from the time we got them and then we walk out of the room mine tend to chirp louder when i leave their sight so when I put the back ground noise in the room with them they just thought someone was in there with them and so a lot of the stress chirping was a lot less. It helped when I needed to leave the room. It helped me.......
