It's a bit early, but the wattles are a little suspicious. They have a lot of color for 4.5 weeks. The comb is on the large size too, but this bird looks like a Leghorns, and they naturally have big combs early on. If that comb continues to grow and if it turns red in the next few weeks, you probably have a cockerel.
 
I agree. Those wattles are waay too red. My leghorn-type pullet's wattles were the same color as her comb. 2 more things to watch: if those long tail feathers start to sort of curve at the tips and the feathers in front of the tail start to elongate (saddle). It's also old enough to start crowing anytime!
 
I wish it would either crow or not - I’m making coop plans and they are different if it’s a roo! My friend on here called cockerel wayyyy back but lately people on my fb been saying pullet!

Your friend still firmly stands the ground that this is a cockerel :)
