Never in a million years would I think I'd ever have my own chickens. But here I am! My son has a few...and I would tease my 5 year old granddaughter that I wanted ONE that they would take care of but I would play with when I visited them. For Mother's Day, they took me to a chicken swap to pick one out. I ended up with three! And two days later, we were buying two more from someone who had silkies! I have four chinese crested hairless dogs and see a bit of resemblance in hair/feather styles. haha.

And! They're living with me, not at my sons!! My brother built me a coop and, although I still have a lot to learn, I'm really enjoying having them around. They're so mesmerizing and entertaining.

Waffles, Nugget, Pickles, Sweet Tea and Lemonade.
The day I brought them home (about 8 weeks ago) compared to how they look today.

I'm glad someone recommended this site to me...I've already gathered some great tips.
