4 Day Old Chick - eyes won't open, and no poop...

This is my same chick with the spraddled legs...is just pitiful. He is happy and bouncy otherwise. I did not notice him eating or drinking. Last night I bound his legs and they seem to be correcting. Today I have been feeding him by hand through a tiny syringe. I ground his feed with a mortar and pestal then mixed his feed with water and have been giving him that as well as vitamins. He is eating and drinking great, but still no poop. His eyes have been closed since yesterday when I brought him home. He never opens them. He still bounces around and cuddles with his brothers and sisters...am I doing all I can? I am really concerned about the pooping issue.

Hi there - thanks for responding, yes, I checked him for pasty butt...we lost Buttercup tonight...he died in my hands as I was stroking his little cheek...the little guy is an angel now...*sniff...sniff...

Along with the splayed legs, this could be a case where it was genetic and it's intestines were not "straight".
