4 day old chick making clicking sounds and breathing quickly

I got 3 baby chicks 4 days ago and all three are eating and drinking fine but there is one that is always sleeping whilst standing up and also making a clicking sound when she breathes. Keep in mind that she is also the smallest out of the 3 as well.

I constantly keep her warm but when she breathes it’s almost like she is constantly/quickly clicking. I was wondering if I should be worried as everything else is fine with her eating and pooping behaviour.

I have tried to give her some sugar water (honey and water) but nothing happened as she continued to sleep and occasionally run and scratch - the usual. Is there anything else I can do to help her as I’m getting worried.

Well stop the sugar water. Not much you can do except wait.

You can give sav a chick electrolytes in water for 5 days then once weekly. That might give it a boost. Won’t hurt the rest. Just give 20% medicated starter or starter grower feed. No treats for first couple weeks. Start chick grit at 3 weeks. Make sure temps appropriate. First week 90-95 degrees F. Wean by 5-7 degrees per week till at 65-70 then off. If panting on the side too hot. If huddled in group happy. If under warmer cool but ok if temp appropriate for age. Should see go back and forth to food/water. Make sure food and water are not under heater and not more than 2 ft away so can find easily. Would watch for more symptoms.
