Depends on the show. I am showing junior next year at the only show I go to with the option since it is the largest show in the states I show in.
As you are just starting I would go with JR, and you can do showmanship then also
Whats the difference?

Junior only youth can show, so 18 and under. Open any age of person can show. Sometimes Juniors also have showmanship offered

So basically showing In the junior division would be easier to win in since the experienced breeders arent showing?

No not usually actually. Many juniors have good birds, there parents have connections in the poultry world, or their parents have good birds and they use them

I show my D'Anvers and Modern Games in at my county fair, at my state poultry association shows. This year, I'm planning on doing the breeding project. I got champion in showmanship two years in a row and went to round robin.

Is there anyone here who does the breeding project, or shows the same breeds as I do? I have never bred chickens before, and I am excited.

I'm Hannah, I own a Buff Orpington and a Welsummer, which I was planning to show in 4-h at the fair next summer, but the Buff had an injury on top of her beak that looks like it didn't heal properly, and the Welsummer has black spots on her comb, but I'm hoping to get Cochin or d'uccle bantams early in the spring for show, but the shipping fee for a hatchery might be a bit much for four or five chickies. I'm also in horse 4-h, and have a few awards from horse bowl & hippology.
