I am but we have a "family" group. Just my 3 kids and a friends 2 kids. Works out great because we both can do things at the last minute. No dedicated dates for get-togethers.

I am in NE Ohio, we have lots of rare breed chickens and I'm wondering if I could get the local 4H groups interested in them? All the chickens at the fairs around here are leghorns with the occasional barred rock. It would be great to see some cochins, silkies, auracanas, marans and penedesencas at the fair! The colored eggs would make it exciting too.

Where you located. I'm in Ashland/Wayne county border. I have D'Uccles, Marans, Lavender Ameruacana, Olive Eggers. What are you raising?

I'm on the Adult Council of my county. My daughter has been doing 4-H poultry these last four years and gets her pin every year.

I didn't move to the country till after kids were grown. I think I would have loved being involved. I do donate all the time. I love talking to the kids at the shows, They are extremely smart and full young persons knowledge. Once I moved here I knew I was a farmers daughter in another life. LOL

We are in Northern Ca too. I'm not a leader, but my kids are in poultry. We love it! We might need to find a new club for next year though since our leader is stepping down
