Hi! New here, but I need some help.
Four-month old female Pekin. Normal height and weight, very lethargic and weak.
Have been trying to integrate my two new male and female Pekin ducklings into my coop with other one-year old male Mallard. His previous mate escaped and disappeared. He usually ignores ducklings, and I watch them 90% of the time they’re in the coop. Today, we put them in, and went to run some errands. Came back, female duckling was in pool with all feathers gone on back, head and wings. Very red, some bloody spots, very weak. I immediately took her out and wrapped her in a towel. Took her inside and held her for about 15 minutes then ran her a warm-ish bath. She could barely stand up, so I took her out, dabbed her with betadine and then Neosporin. She’s currently wrapped up in a towel and a fluffy blanked on the couch. I tried to give her Childrens ibuprofen (.2ml) but she wouldn’t even budge. She sounded like she was aspirating earlier but it’s subsided (thankfully). I offered her water, but no shot. She’s starting to breathe normally and is closing her eyes finally to rest.
What else can I do for her? My farm store is closed for the night.
TIA
