4 month old lame hen

Does she have other neurological symptoms? Mareks is kind of the thing that comes to mind when they can't walk or they are off-balance, but you can't be sure without testing. If she dies (and I hope not) she probably should have a necropsy done by your state lab for poultry. Sometimes there is no cost, and some states charge something. You need to find out about it before it happens because the body has to be refrigerated to preserve it, and they can give you instructions.

walking like she's drunk, one wing hanging. then laying on her side. she looks super weak and can barely get her to take anything from a dropper :( at this point I think it's better to put her out of her misery. she looks like she is just suffering. IDK if it is marek's or not for sure. but dang she does not look good

I put her down. she was crying and whimpering. :'( really stinks. hated to do that. she was my fave bird too. now i'm down to 3 hens. kids took it well for the most part. the youngest not so much. *sob*

I am so sorry for your loss. :<

So sorry for your chick. I would have done the same thing. Please watch your other chicks for symptoms, as they may be immune or can develope Mareks if that was the cause.

thank you for the condolences <3 and yes i am keeping a watchful eye on the rest of my flock. so sad and heartbreaking :(
