Hi,
I just got this beautiful polish yesterday. The seller wasn’t sure if it is a pullet or a roo but he said he think it’s a roo. I read on several places that it takes a while for them to mature and some might look like a pullet but turn out to be a rooster when they get older.

Is 4 months old enough to know?

You have yourself a gorgeous pullet.
They seller needs to work on his sexing.
OR he claimed it was a roo so he could keep it, and sell you an actual rooster disguised as a pullet.🧐
I’m kidding...sorta.

Thanks y’all! This made my day.

I just have one of my silky girl turned out to be a roo just a month ago (and he was about 3 months when I bought him as a pullet) so I’m glad this one is a girl!!!

Yeah. Silkies can be tricky but at least she is a definite pretty girl. :)

Thanks. Wondering why it’s a definite pullet? For future reference 😆

Btw... :welcome
Her pattern and feather shape is feminine (especially at 4 mths). Her hackle feathers are curved not pointy which means female. For crested chickens males have longer, pointier crests.
