Thanks for that. I am aware of this but the second bird posted doesn't appear to have rooster type hackle or saddle feathers. This is what confused me. They are so different to look at.

He's just a slow developer in the feather department, but that comb is definitely cockerel.

He actually does if you look closely. I can see the saddles coming in and some hackles too in the pictures you posted.
