I was hoping my eyes were deceiving me lol. Thank you!The bigger one with the larger comb is a cockerel, and I am pretty sure the other one is too, although it is less developed.
I will try to take some when they are outside today. Also, the one I think for sure is a cockerel won’t go near my rooster. The other one roosts with him and the rest of the flock.Cab we get better pics of the saddle are in full lighting? I do believe I see what Jed is seeing.
My thought was pullets before that. Like Jane said though - I'd expect to see more male characteristics at 16 weeks.
Mine are about 12 weeks and I thought I had roosters. But thats pullets getting their adult feathers in. And since its fall they may not start laying until feb or march but could hopefully lay next monthI was hoping my eyes were deceiving me lol. Thank you!
Thanks! That doesn't really mean much as far as sex. Does sound a bit suspicious though for sure.I will try to take some when they are outside today. Also, the one I think for sure is a cockerel won’t go near my rooster. The other one roosts with him and the rest of the flock.
Whew, good luck! Going to need it with three boy toddlers!I will try to get better pictures later today. I’m wrangling 3 toddler grandsons this morning.![]()

Second pic shows a for sure cockerel. Are both these the same bird?
