4 months old

What does a 4 month old duck look like? How feathered out is it?

A local woman is selling some Blue Swedish and Muscovie crosses. Some are pure of each breed and some are mixed. How feathered out would a 4 month old duckling be? Is it old enough to put on a pond? (assuming our pond is safe, which remains to be seen).

4 month olds are fully feathered. And yes they will be able to swim.

I agree with the above poster. Usually 4 months old is considered fully grown and feathered.
