4 week old barred rock chick

Hello. I have two barred rock chicks that are about 4 weeks old I believe. I was worried that my Baby, one of my favorites, is actually a Baby Boy! We can't have roosters where I live, so I am crossing my fingers and praying!

Very likely a girl. Barred Rocks are actually pretty easy to sex with pretty good accuracy.

Also, if it wouldn't be much of a bother, could someone help me determine the gender of another barred rock chick of mine?

Ummmm.... gosh, gott say it. Those are not Barred Rocks, and they are older than 4 weeks. More like 6 or 7 weeks.

And.... they are both cockerels.

The last bird shown is a pullet, but also, not a Barred Rock.

Ok, opinion #3.... I think the bird in the first post is definitely a rooster, bird in the second post a hen. I do agree, certainly not barred rocks.

Well, they are not 100% Barred rocks. I sure hope the first is not a rooster.
I bought them as eggs, and I was even then told that the rooster was not a full barred rock. Hope that makes a difference...

Looks like the first pics are of a cockerel to me and are definitely mix breed not pure BR. They are suppose to be easy to sex but I too received a cockerel this sprig although I order a girl. Looks very similar to my cockerel who the kids named Sassy (thinking it was a hen) because of his big attitude as a chick
