4 Week old blue bantam cochin gender guesses

Usually by 5 weeks you can see the differences. The males will start to get red at that age. Give them another week or two.
This one looks to be a blue. The white feathers will molt out.

Here are a few updates! They’re just over 5 weeks, and there isn’t a LOT of change in comb or wattles on any of them. Definitely lots more feathers and very poofy! The lightest blue has the least pink in the comb and no signs of wattles, very little foot feathering compared to the others, and is feathering in the slowest. The splash and dark blue have feathered in similarly, but the splash is bigger with a larger comb. Any guesses?

The cochins all look like boys to me with pink combs already. They will turn red in the next week or two if I'm correct. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Update in another 2 weeks. I have a bunch of bantam cochins roos. They are fun birds. :)
So here’s an update! They’re now right around 7 weeks old. The first one’s combs/face/wattles are usually mostly pink, but tend to blush a lot when stressed or in the sun. Posture is very horizontal, skittish, runs away from chest bumping and doesn’t participate. The second stays pretty consistently red, but it’s comb is the smallest of the three and the wattles aren’t growing very much. Also has a very horizontal posture, and doesn’t chest bump as much as it flutters around or up onto things like my head. The last one had the smallest and most yellow comb and feathered the slowest. Now it’s comb is larger with more pink/red, but still no real sign of wattles. It’s the friendliest with me, but has been walking much more upright than the other two and puffs up and tries to chest bump with the Silkie chick I think is a roo too. It is also the smallest of the bunch, and it’s tail feathers seem to be more narrow and curve down than the first two which seem rounded/puffier. No signs of crowing from anyone yet. The first two feathered in at about the same rate and spend a lot of time together, the third was way fuzzier for way longer and has much less foot feathering

Still thinking roos?

any updates? I have LFC and my roo had a pink comb pretty early that you could see. the 3 hens had ZERO combs for the longest time (like 4 mo with still nothing for a comb).

if I had to guess based off of that I say all cockerels.
