These are my barred rocks, hatched a little over 4 weeks ago. I have a pretty good idea what they are but theres a few Im confused about. The 3 I am almost certain to be hens are quite a bit darker than the others, but theres 11 total, so I am in disbelief I have 8 roos! Two have a much wider comb starting and are lighter so I assume they are roos, but there are a few with a higher comb than the others, but not wide like some, those are the ones im confused about... HELP! lol
High comb but no wattles... hen?
Roo? much wider comb and wattles
Hen? darker and no comb or wattles
    High comb, and wattles.. roo?

why do some have the thicker comb than others?

The second one is not a BR at all, but it's male. It's a Dominique and it has a rose comb. BRs have single combs.
