I have a four week old swedish flower hen.
Two weeks ago i noticed she was not real active and was wobbly. So i seperated her so i could watch her. She was super wobbly and seemed to rock back and forward. A lady told me she may be having crop/ constipation issues and malnourished and to give her frozen coconut oil to get things moving. After a week i saw some big poops and she was real active so i put her back with the others. Three days later (today) i noticed black in her beak and it was starting to look slightly crossed. So i took her to the bathroom and with a qtip got it out. It looked like her food cemented to the top of her beak and couldnt close properly and it started to cross. After it was all out i put her back and she is just acting strange. Sitting with eyes closed tipping back and forward and breathing odd.
Does anyone know what this is? I just dont know what to do with her to keep her alive. Do you think she isnt clearing her crop? Im feeling defeated at this point. I have never had these issues with my group i got last summer.
