4 week old Light Sussex back feathers v no back feathers...Hens or Roos ?

Hi I have 5 Light Sussex chicks I have noticed that two of the five have spiky back feathers and are slightly more dominant and the other three are smaller and have no back feathers yet only fuzzy hair.

You can see the difference in the photo's



Is this an indication of gender?

Sometimes males are slower to mature, so it's a possibility.
