Greetings, i suspect these are both cockerels but would like your opinion. These were hatching eggs from Meyers hatchery. I have gotten male and female black australorps before from Cackle and the males usually feathered a bit slower than the females most notably in the tail feathers. The male has a red comb by 3 weeks.

However, these 4.5 week old black australorps (who hatched with normal looking buff orpingtons) look like they are losing their down but getting very little feathers. And their combs are still very yellow. Do you think they are cockerels?

In my previous experience with Black Australorps, even by 10 days just looking at the tail feathers, it was very obvious who was male and who was female. And by the 3rd week the combs turned red. They are usually easily sexable by now. Do you disagree? These have me stumped though.
