What hatchery did you get this bird from?
It is a cockerel.
I'm thinking a calico princess? Hoovers is breeding them. I'm not sure if they're auto sexing.

The chick is male and has the barring gene. I think he's a hatchery hybrid or barnyard mix.

If he is from a store or hatchery, Calico Princess is a good guess. I think he might be a Rainbow, formerly known as Dixie Rainbows. Those are a dual purpose hybrid great for eggs and meat. The photos I've seen look very similar to this chick.

Vents should only be checked on day old chicks, by a professional . . . unskilled individuals can cause a prolapse . . .or so I've read on here numerous times
