Personally I think it is too young to be able to tell what gender it is yet.

My guess would also be rooster. That is a big comb for 4 weeks old. No idea on the breed, I am not familiar with marans

Thanks, I'm keeping it regardless...but I was hoping for a hen. A few of its hatch mates are looking like very promising normal blue and black coppers but some of them are acting very roosterish and that makes picking who to keep much harder.
