4 year old goose has never laid an egg

I have a DNA tested goose and and gander pair. They're both sebastopols. The female is 4 years old and the male is 5. I've never found a single egg though and I've checked every inch of their pen. This isn't normal is it? Will my goose ever lay eggs?

During this goose's second season, a raccoon got into their pen (I built a predator safe one now) and killed the original gander. I'm assuming this stressed her so that she wouldn't lay eggs that year but maybe in her third season it was too late to start laying eggs

I have to add that I have never had Sebastopols. Perhaps they are slower maturing. Hopefully this season she will lay.

Kidney problems can sometimes cause fertility issues, my main concern would also be something wrong with her reproductive organs like oviduct impaction. It might be good to get her checked out by a vet.

Yes, I have to second the vet idea, if you can afford it then they are the only ones that can really tell you what happen with 100% certainty (or close to 100%)

I wouldn't think so. It's possible but I'd think that I'd find at least one egg or eggshell before something took it since I check every day. The chicken and duck eggs don't get stolen though so I doubt it.

Same boat everyone’s in, and depending on where you live vet visits for poultry are often out of many people’s reach finance wise even in good times.

Unfortunately reproductive issues are often serious and aren’t something that takes a quick fix at home, if adding calcium and vitamins doesn’t fix the problem then there’s often something bigger going on. Hopefully she’s just a late bloomer and she’ll start laying in a few weeks.
