Hello,

just want to see if anyone else had this issue: he is not active as it should be, not eating much, not doing his song in the morning for 2 or 3 days now . He shakes his head as if it had something stuck in his throat-a couple of times he did got out a couple of pieces of bread i gave him. And he keeps trying to close one eye.

On another note he did have a bumble foot that we manage to get out.

I looked for lice and nothing. So i imagine that the bumble foot infected him bad...but i don't know of any remedy for that.

BTW, his name is MiniCooco so we love him very much..

Could you please examine his crop and the inside of his mouth? Also, I need you to get a flashlight and pull back his ear flaps and look inside to see if there's gunk in there.

The "pieces of bread" leads me to guess he could have a crop disorder. Bread can create crop digestive issues and set up conditions for yeast to grow. You will be judging how full his crop is and whether it's hard or soft or lumpy or spongy. Note also if he has bad breath like sauerkraut.

I'm sorry that MiniCooco is not feeling well.

Can you post some photos of him, his foot and his poop?

I would look inside his ears for infection, inside his beak for canker or yellow pus. Feel his crop first thing in the morning before he eats/drinks, it should be empty.

What do you normally feed him? I would see if he would eat a little of his normal feed or some scrambled egg instead of bread.

here are 2 images we just took - hard to tell from picture inside his mouth if anything
and there is the one eye closed (just the right eye closed the other open )
as far as poop last one was white (not solid) with some balck like peelet looking - i faile d to take pic :( the foot i'll take one when the bandage is off..

sorry forgot to say.. yes he did eat his normal food also yesterday but he has not eating any today so far

Can you take in a sample of poop for testing?

It's hard to tell about the inside of the beak, but the white poop with tiny bits is not normal.
Is his crop emptying overnight?

Have you wormed him or treated him for Coccidiosis?

he does not have bad breath, as far as his crop .. not full hard - but yesterday he was eating much more of his regular food plus some burger I gave him

as of yet I have not wormed him or treated him for Coccidiosis since I not tested
I am going to the city today and i'll be asking the vet I know if they can do testing for it

since yesterday his poo looked closer to regular and today pretty much normal but, he still not active as usual

we also found this article on the Coccidiosis
https://thesilveredge.com/colloidal-silver-heals-parasite-infections/
says "
“My daughter’s little rabbit had Coccidiosis and the vet said he will not survive. I gave him two bowls of colloidal silver, and after one day and one night the rabbit was jumping happy!

We went to the vet again and the Doctor couldn’t believe his eyes!! He wanted to do extra analysis and took again a bit of poo, i.e., a stool sample. One week later the result came out…..NO COCCIDIOSIS ANYMORE!
